Since 1999, film crews have been on patrol with New Zealand traffic police officers and have been up close and personal with their cameras when the officers carry out routine checks, thwart illegal car races, or pursue fleeing traffic offenders. But drug dealers, terrorists, and thieves are also among the “clientele” of the police officers. The men and women in their bright yellow jackets often find themselves in dangerous situations in the course of their daily work.
